Princess Smith and the
Clockwork Knight published by Sabledrake
Enterprises . Also available on Amazon.
Britt Smith always thought of herself as a normal girl. Well,
as normal as the motherless daughter of the town blacksmith
could be. She didn't wear dresses, grow her hair long, or
giggle about boys like the other girls of Alice Vineyard.
The other girls didn't get into fist fights, help out in the
smithy, or play with mechanical toy dogs and toy dragons.
But still, Britt thought she was pretty normal, all things
considered. Until she discovered that her Da was no normal
blacksmith, either. Until she discovered the giant suit of
steam-driven armor he kept hidden in the back room. And there
was that mysterious marking on her back, the marking that
got the attention of a stranger who came to town one day.
The stranger who returned with soldiers, and turned Britt's
life into anything but normal.
Now Britt is on the run. Alone in the giant suit of armor,
she must escape her pursuers, fight off her enemies, and make
her way through the wider world beyond the peaceful valley
that's been all she has ever known. |

The Amazing Adventures
of the Sensational Squirrelman, the original story
that started it all, plus six bonus stories, including my
collected All Roads, originally published
in Wyntergreene Magazine.
Published by Sabledrake
Enterprises . Also available on Amazon.
For mild-mannered Matthew Mattheson, superheroes were the
stuff of comic books and children's cartoons. Not the sort
of thing he, a mature and responsible Indianapolis accountant,
was interested in at all. Why, then, the dreams? Dreams in
which he donned an outrageous costume and fought crime in
a futuristic city beyond his wildest imaginings? Dreams .
or so he thought until the day that he woke up in that world.
A world in which it wasn't Indianapolis any more, but Action
City, home of caped crimefighters and costumed crusaders.
A world where metahumans and magic existed side by side. A
world where villainous criminal masterminds were hell-bent
on conquest and domination, and alien invasion was just another
part of the average day. A world where mild-mannered accountant
Matthew Mattheson lived a double life, protecting the innocent
as the grey-clad guardian of Lower Uptown.
THE SENSATIONAL SQUIRRELMAN! Justice wears a bushy tail. |

TRUTHSEEKERS: Welcome
to Blackriver, a collection of my serialized YA teen
angst/occult investigation stories, published by Sabledrake
Enterprises . Also available on Amazon.
Moving to a small town from the big city is a challenge that
can be hard enough for anyone. It's even harder for a teenage
girl, leaving behind her friends, her school, her mall, her
social life. After her parents are brutally murdered and fifteen-year-old
Ashley Bennett is sent to the small town of Blackriver, Ontario
to live with her only relative, her cousin Mark - a teacher
at her new school! - she thinks her life can't possibly get
any worse. But Ashley has no idea that the real challenges
have only just begun. Not only is she faced with the normal
teen experiences of making new friends, going to a new school,
and adjusting to her new life, she's about to discover a whole
hidden world that is both dark and strange. She's about to
discover that her parents' deaths were anything but random,
and that she herself might be in danger. Ancient conspiracies
... secret societies ... ghosts ... vampires ... cattle mutilations
and cults ... witches ... mysterious disappearances... this
eerily normal-seeming little town has it all, and Ashley ends
up smack in the middle of it whether she wants to be or not.
